Bell Ringers

RIngers-Darlene,Stella_1_0.jpeg

The MUC Hand Chimes were donated to MacKay by Paul (former organist and choir director) and June MacMillan in memory of their son Jamie.

'MacKay's Rowdy Ringers', are age 6 and over. They perform twice per year with practices on Sunday mornings. The goal is to enjoy music and perform for the congregation.

Hand chimes are musical instruments similar to handbells. They are rung using the hands, and many handbell techniques can be applied to hand chimes.  When combined, the two create a new and different timbre.  They are tuned during manufacture and do not require external tuning.  Hand chimes are inexpensive, lightweight and resilient instruments.

Next performance is December 1 at 10:30 .
